Why should a school hire me?
believe that if my experience, excellent communication skills, and glowing recommendation letters don't give the school the confidence to hire me then my teaching philosophy says it all... “Don’t let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.” This quote by the great baseball player, Babe Ruth, embodies the basis for my teaching philosophy. In life, we are all afraid of new challenges and the inevitable changes that come along, but it is vital to not let the fear thwart your attempts at personal triumph. I believe in having a strong classroom of little warriors who squash fear with the desire to learn, grow, and build confidence. A welcoming, safe, creative environment where children feel like they can ask the silly questions and try new things. There are endless ways to learn and I want to make sure that every child feels comfortable and confident to explore learning in whatever way works best for them. It is my job to facilitate learning and create opportunities for each child to take charge of their own education and discover new ways of achieving their goals. I want to not only help children reach a concrete understanding of curriculum concepts, but also help children to be the best versions of themselves. I hope to inspire children to love learning and have the courage to keep exploring and discovering long after they have left my classroom. Learning never stops, no matter what age, and I hope to be able to instill that lesson to each child creating an endless longing for knowledge. I consider every person, young or old, a student and a teacher and I cannot wait to start this journey with a new classroom learning and growing together.

Why should a school hire me?
believe that I should be hired because I am an extremely hard worker but I am also passionate and give 100% to everything I do. If I get hired I will give my all to both the children and the school, making sure to offer the best of myself so the students can learn well and in an efficient way. I think that learning the English language can be both fun and beneficial and I want to show the students just that. Why should a school hire me?
Teaching has always been a very familiar part of my life because my mother made a career out of teaching elementary and middle school children. She earned her Master’s degree in Education and has been teaching for over 30 years. I have always looked up to and admired my mother’s ability to teach and handle a classroom so well. I hope someday I will be able emulate her ability to provide a student focused and nurturing class while teaching English as a foreign language. I have worked with children and young people in many different environments – in both hospital and community health care settings, private tutoring, and babysitting children of all age groups. During my time at university, I worked as an ambassador. This role involved interacting with many young hopeful university applicants in a variety of ways. I worked very closely with these applicants across all steps of the application process – ranging from helping them to prepare for their university interviews to answering any queries they had regarding university or the course structure. Throughout my years of study, I regularly tutored children between 12 – 16 years of age in maths, biology and chemistry. This experience ignited my passion for teaching as I thoroughly enjoyed seeing my students excelling at school, furthering their learning and deepening their understanding of various topics. I truly believe that children are the future - ensuring they have a strong educational foundation and a sparked interest in crucial topics is key to solidifying successful future outcomes in any country; it is equal parts exciting and gratifying to be a part of this process. Having visited almost twenty countries, both as a short and long term tourist, I understand and appreciate a diverse range of cultures and views. In February this year, I visited and explored South Korea. I was truly captivated by the country’s rich history and character, more so than any other place I had visited before. I found that I felt instantly welcomed, and I was very happy to interact with many friendly individuals. I am currently learning the language, as I have been interested in it for many years, and I believe that living and working in the country will allow me to enhance and practice my skills. Furthermore, the importance of a high standard of education in the country is apparent, making it an environment that I find inspiring and would be honoured to work in. I am confident that I would thrive in this position and would welcome the opportunity to teach in South Korea wholeheartedly.
